Having lived in Scotland for many years, Ryan is a great champion of the country. This episode is all about telling the stories beyond the cliches.

Delving into two very different, well-known and historic distilleries, The Singleton and Lagavulin, we weave a complex and contrasting story of a place that many love.

Starting off in Glasgow, at the family-run pub the Pot Still, Ryan dived straight into how to understanding whisky. This episode demystifies peat, explores culinary landscape – from the Morning Roll to the acclaimed Fallachan restaurant – and samples local produce of honey, seafood, and foraged botanicals. Two very different Old Fashions were created, along with a non-alc cocktail based on barley water, but made from oats.
