Mr Lyan Studio Provides Drinks Consultancy for Hermès

How do we reflect the craft and heritage of the Chaîne D’Ancre jewellery through drinks?

Hermès invited Mr Lyan Studio to help bring to life a special event celebrating the Maison’s iconic Chaîne d’Ancre jewellery collection. With a heritage rooted in craftsmanship, precision and storytelling, the occasion called for a drinks experience that could mirror the artistry and symbolism of one of Hermès’ most recognisable designs.

We were asked to design a refined, sensorial drinks offering that would complement the nautical origins of Chaîne d’Ancre while capturing its interplay of fluidity and structure. The experience needed to feel elegant, elevated and unmistakably Hermès, while still offering the creativity and innovation that define Mr Lyan Studio.

An elegant exploration of fluidity and structure

We anchored the creative direction in the movement and textures of the sea: the shifting tension between water, wind and tide. This marine narrative created a natural bridge between the flowing form of the ocean and the precision-engineered links at the heart of the jewellery collection.

From ingredients to presentation, every detail was crafted to echo the themes of balance, continuity and craft. We collaborated with Silo London on thoughtful canapés and worked alongside floral partners to extend the aquatic motif into the wider space.

We developed a suite of bespoke cocktails inspired by coastal botanicals and shoreline aromatics. Highlights included:

• Coconut distillate to evoke clean, elegant maritime notes

• Cornish pastis and fresh samphire to introduce coastal salinity and depth

• A playful boba pearl garnish, presented in an oyster shell, as a nod to the organic forms and treasures of the sea

The drinks were paired with sea-inspired canapés from Silo London and complemented by oceanic floristry, creating a coherent and immersive world.

The final experience offered guests a sophisticated interpretation of Chaîne d’Ancre that connected the jewellery’s heritage to a contemporary, multi-sensory moment. By aligning flavour, design and storytelling, the event deepened appreciation for the collection’s artistry and reinforced Hermès’ commitment to craftsmanship and timeless creativity.
