Exploring the complexity and versatility of Moët Impérial using flavour additions.

Despite the near-universal appeal of Champagne, understanding - how its made, its flavour profiles and creative possibilities in cocktails - can be limited. Even in the on-trade.

How do we raise the bar? How do we enhance the trade’s understanding Moët Impérial in particular, inspiring them to consider it when creating cocktails and explore the full range of flavour profiles and applications? And how do we do so in an engaging, experiential and easily repeatable manner?

That was the challenge set for us by Moët & Chandon. The solution: a range of 5 bespoke tinctures, exploring the full flavour spectrum of Moët Impérial - from its classic brioche and autolytic notes, to its juicy pear and apple highlights - demonstrating the balance of the product and the myriad directions it can be used to explore in cocktails.

Just a few drops of one of the 5 tinctures, added to a normal glass of the Champagne helped draw out the target flavours, accentuate the liquid and evoke a variety of different vibes and settings.

The tinctures have been used as part of Moët’s 2023 advocacy events, as well in customer-facing settings, and are now being transformed into a replicable tool for the sales team to use when meeting with bar teams.
